    We have exciting growth plans for 2018. Our engineers work on a variety of solutions to make servers faster and more secure. We are looking for high calibre firmware engineers at all levels to work on the design and implementation of embedded firmware, which runs on our 10-100Gbps Ethernet Adapters



    This is an exciting opportunity helping Solarflare move into new markets. As an experienced embedded engineer, you will be a key contributor in a small team, working on complex market leading technology. In this role; 

    • Design and develop firmware for our networking adapters
    • Work closely with the silicon team to refine the architecture and develop models of next generation silicon
    • Participate in the process to validate the silicon and firmware design
    • Actively participate in team discussions, sprint planning and providing accurate estimates
    • Share your knowledge and expertise to guide, develop and support more junior team members
    • Strive to solve complex technical problems.


    In order to maintain our world class reputation, we hire exceptional engineers with a very strong academic background. Ideally you will have: 

    • A Masters degree in (eg computer science, maths or physics)
    • Experience working at silicon or networking companies
    • Worked extensively at the hardware/software interface involving networking in some capacity
    • Proven commercial experience programming in C and ideally assembler on occasion for high performance environments.
    • Knowledge of Ethernet & TCP/IP
    • Good understanding of PCI-Express and digital design (EDA tools, Verilog, VHDL)
    • Knowledge of git, Bugzilla and mercurial would be an advantage
    • Excellent communication skills
